How fast can the new wood floor be walked on?

RT Floors recommends you do not walk on the newly finished wood floor for at least 28 hours after finisnh has been applied, if possible you should wait up to 48 hours.

Can wood floors be installed on steps?

Yes, wood flooring can be installed on steps, in closets, on baseboards even on walls.
